Low Carb Pretzel Dogs

 
 

Yields: 24 mini hot dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese 

  • 2 oz cream cheese

  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 3/4 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 12 oz bag of mini hot dogs 

  • Avocado oil spray 

Topping

  • Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tsp water) or avocado oil spray 

DIRECtions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Remove the hot dogs from their package and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. Add your mozzarella cheese and cream cheese to a large glass mixing bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments until fully melted. Add your parmesan cheese and stir until the cheeses combine.

  4. Add your egg and mix.

  5. Add your almond flour and baking soda. You’ll mix and knead until a dough forms. Separate into 24 triangles and fold your mini hot dogs similar to a croissant.

  6. Make your egg wash and brush on top of your mini pretzel dogs.

  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
