Taco Skillet

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 4 oz beef bone broth

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup shredded Mexican blend cheese

  • 1 roma tomato, diced

  • ½ large avocado, sliced

  • 2 tbsp sour cream

  • Cilantro and jalapeno to garnish

Directions:

  1. In a large sauce pan, add your avocado oil and ground beef. Cook ground beef until it’s about ¾ of the way done (about 5 mins) on medium high heat.

  2. Add in your onion and garlic and saute with ground beef until translucent and fully cooked (about 3 more minutes).

  3. Now, add your taco seasoning packet, salt, pepper and any extra seasonings like cumin and paprika. I love adding extra seasonings, but the taco packet should be just fine.

  4. Add your beef bone broth and cook until your skillet has thickened. You don’t want it to look dry.

  5. Top with Mexican blend cheese and all your toppings (tomato, avocado, sour cream, cilantro) and serve!
