Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

Yields: 9

Ingredients:

Apple Pie Filling

  • 1 large chayote squash, peeled and cut into small cubes

  • 3 tbsp allulose

  • 2 tbsp butter 

  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder 

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 

Cinnamon Rolls:

  • 3 low carb flour tortillas 

  • 4 tbsp softened light cream cheese (get the block)

  • 1 cup apple pie filling

  • 4 tbsp brown sweetener 

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon 

  • Avocado oil spray

Cream Cheese Frosting:

Directions:

  1. Cut and peel your chayote and dice.

  2. Make your apple pie filling, by cooking all of your filling ingredients on a pan over medium high heat and set aside.

  3. Layer your tortilla with cream cheese, brown sugar, and your apple pie filling.

  4. Add cream cheese to your second tortilla and place it on top of the first tortilla almost like making a quesadilla. Do that to your third.

  5. Roll it up and slice it into 6-8 pieces pinwheels.   

  6. Spray your rolls with avocado oil, or brush with melted butter.

  7. Airfry at 400F for 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  8. If you like crispy edges, make them smaller.
