Hot Honey Chicken Tenders

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

Fried Chicken Tenders - 

  • 1 lb chicken tenders

  • 2 eggs, beaten 

  • 1 cup unflavored protein powder or tapioca starch (if not Keto)

  • Salt and pepper to taste 

  • Avocado oil for frying (or spray it airfrying)

Hot Honey - 

  • ¼ cup Choczero sugar free honey

  • 2 tbsp sriracha 

  • Dash of chili flakes

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl or shallow dish, add your breading unflavored protein powder or tapioca starch (if you are not keto).

  2. Season your breading with salt and pepper. At this point, you can season it with anything you’d like. Sometimes, I’ll add garlic powder and paprika.

  3. In another shallow dish, crack your eggs and beat them in the dish.

  4. Start breading your chicken tenders. Dip them in your egg, then breading and set aside.

  5. In a pan, add avocado oil and shallow fry for 3-4 mins on each side until crispy and fully cooked through.You can also airfry at 400F for 10-15 mins, spraying the tenders with avocado oil.

  6. In a separate small saucepan, let’s make your hot honey. Add your honey and sriracha and cook on low heat until combined. At this point, you can add your chili flakes as well. Place your crispy tenders into your hot honey and coat.

  7. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
